LCA is a frameless radial cut-profiled tire coupling. It transmits torque by clamping the tire body with no skeleton through bolted plates. Its core features are:
1. High elasticity and strong vibration reduction: The tire body without a skeleton has low torsional stiffness, providing excellent buffering and vibration reduction. It can absorb shocks and frequent start-stop vibrations, has no torsional clearance, and is stable in forward and reverse rotations. The nominal torque ranges from 10 to 20,000 N·m, suitable for medium and heavy-duty impact conditions.
2. Large displacement compensation: It can compensate for ±5 to ±10 mm in the axial direction, approximately 1 to 5 mm in the radial direction, and approximately 1.5° to 3° in the angular direction. It is suitable for installation errors and deformation caused by working conditions.
3. Maintenance-free and easy replacement: No lubrication is required; the tire body is clamped by the bolted plates, allowing for quick replacement of the tire body alone, resulting in low maintenance costs.
4. Simple structure and low cost: There is no steel skeleton, fewer parts, and lighter weight. The manufacturing and procurement costs are lower than those of LCB/UC type with a skeleton.
5. Adaptability and limitations in working conditions: The working temperature ranges from -20°C to +80°C. It is suitable for general machinery in humid, dusty, impact-vibrating, and frequently reversed rotation environments. The radial load-bearing capacity is weak, and it is prone to overheating and aging at high speeds (>3000 rpm). Overloading can easily cause axial additional loads, and the lifespan depends on the quality of the rubber. Summary
The design of the frameless opening ensures high elasticity and vibration reduction, with strong compensation capabilities. It is convenient to replace the tire body and has a lower cost. It is a cost-effective flexible coupling suitable for medium and heavy-duty impact conditions.
